Good man, staying 'alert"! Is this the precursor of a cross Channel invasion?

I will be very alert on Thursday when I , as permitted, travel to a open space for leisure and exercise. That open space will be the park on the end of 27L at LHR. Probably only for a few hours and not a massive amount to see but it is a start. Have to make the most of it is the 14 day quarintine comes in and kills everything off. The bushe is still closed and out of bounds, but of course the common is not. Might only be feathered flyers you see though.

Robert Falcon Scott
"Had we lived, I should have had a tale to tell of the hardihood, endurance, and courage of my companions which would have stirred the heart of every Englishman. These rough notes and our dead bodies must tell the tale, but surely, surely, a great rich country like ours will see that those who are dependent on us are properly provided for."
Something to ponder in more ways than one!

"I can imagine few things more trying to the patience than the long wasted days of waiting".
Further words to ponder from the great man in a life where patience is being stretched by more means than one!
Six decades...

While we welcome Blackbushe engaging in a phased re-opening from 19 May there remains a curious anomaly. Very wisely social distancing is requested and at this time no plans published as to the Bushe Cafe's future services... Gatherings of spotters should be no more than two, suitably spaced, and use of Blackbushe "east" is suggested for walking or viewing flying machines in action. The curious anomaly lurks around Heathrow Airport just up the road where flows of unchecked passengers arrive and vanish into the British landscape. Some of us hardly ventured beyond the garden gate for the past two months 'doing our bit' and not wishing to yield to the tiny killer. Tracking software confirms the large and varied numbers of flights arriving/departing Heathrow, Alitalia and Iberia seemingly regular players in the Heathrow game played while those of us in the wider community remain firmly locked down.
While the Government has done an overall amazing job in keeping the nation safe, jobs supported, and generally keeping us briefed, are the plans to quarantine inbound passengers at some point in the future just a little akin to the stable door and its unsatisfactory management? Maybe the logic has bypassed my grey cell?

All very confusing, the comings and goings at Heathrow - must be expedient in the public interest!! Why? One thing for certain: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If worse? Dig out the brown cords and tin helmet!
