Only one on board PB, if not person living in same household? I assume that all the survey flights lately are of a similar occupancy.

That magic 100km, even SNCF are doing it:

VE Day 75 passed with great weather, and despite all the viral handicaps, the nation did the veterans proud and continues to prove the old British "spirit" is still alive and well.. Glorious weather demonstrated true "Darling Buds of May" scenery enhanced by plenty of red, white, and blue flag waving!
Our situation with lockdown, furloughs, great weather, and something of a holiday feeling for many is perhaps the calm before the storm. Almost certainly it is. But, the air transport industry seems to be moving toward even more perilous ground if the rumours regarding Government plans are confirmed by the Prime Minister tomorrow.
A compulsory quarantine for 14 days for all airline passengers entering the county with the exception of passengers from the Irish Republic. For weeks we have been monitoring the arrival of aircraft into LHR from around the world including Covid hot spots. Passengers free to walk from the Airport unchecked and free to mingle at will.. I have had faith in the Government's plans so far, at least so far as being "guided by the science" is concerned. The Government's reasoning here was that inbound flights were either repatriating British souls whose holidays had hit the rocks or that the passenger loads were low and not enough to statistically effect the Covid numbers. The forthcoming logic is to kill off passengers ability to leave the airport as free souls but to condemn them to compulsory quarantine for fourteen days.. Tough if your plans were for a brief business commitment? The result will surely be to dry up passenger flow and finally bring the airlines to their knees?
Hopefully I have misjudged the Government's plan or I've fallen victim to a fake news release? If the plan in bringing in this quarantine is to help maintain the "post peak" descent in Covid numbers one must share that ambition, but why wait until such a late stage in the proceedings when Covid carrying air passengers could have been waylaid at a much earlier stage and prevented the spread that possibly has resulted from the past weeks of uncontrolled unmonitored entry into the United Kingdom? My analogy is one of the sticking plaster being stuck over the wound far too late, the poison is already at work too late for any sticking plaster benefits...

I have backed the government's stance on this crisis 100% and still do but I feel this proposal is very much akin to shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted. In my humble opinion this option should have been taken from day 1 of the lockdown.

SAGE will let us see their reasoning, workings and 'the science' for this decision, should it happen, preferably before teacher has correcected the script! What are the comings and goings? Maybe tomorrow will become day one. La Manche and those with whom we have a special relationship will not be of much assistance; what does C-19 care about borders. This is a terrible time for all; for many, more so. Take care.
