Thank you all for your input. All points of view are welcome, providing they do not resort to negative remarks on persons, or belittle the Airport operation.
The Airport is currently quiet, but much goes on out of sight toward the planned future developments. Sceptical remarks as to the operation, or future prospects of the Airport are best cast elsewhere.
With regard to the DC-6, IF it should arrive at Blackbushe, we will park it where we intend to park it! The A30 and Comet parking situation was long ago, and need not be dug up at this point....The relationship between Airport and 'authority' was substantially different in "those days".
The DC-6 project is simply because it is a significant window on the past holding a strong affinity with Blackbushe and a splendid resident airline. Regardless, we will continue the DC-6 quest until all our cards have been played. I've a meeting later today on behalf of the DC-6, happily I'll take the encouragement provided by our Forum with me....
Thank you for your kind support.. PB

For me I definitely feel the saving of PSA and placing it at Blackbushe is a worthy endeavour.

Peter, have you ever been and dined on this DC6 ? www.dc6diner.comWe visited it last time we went to the museum, obviously its not a first choice for G-APSA but certainly an idea if it were needed to make money.

Thanks, yes we're very aware of how PSA's sister ship has fared. It's an option, one of several being discussed. However, many bridges to cross as yet, let's see if we can acquire the aircraft first. Really appreciate suggestions, and interest in the PSA project..

I live in the north of Scotland now but would love to see her again close up. Very good luck. Chris

To chrisov, "Welcome" and "Thank you" all at the same time... Now there's a great indication of the feeling that is generally to be found when trying to save a little of our aviation heritage - a great aeroplane linked to a great airport of years gone by...

Peter,
I too would like to add my support for the return of G-APSA to Blackbushe. As one of the dwindling few who can recall the aircraft during it's service days at the airport I can think of no more fitting final resting place for such a fine aircraft. Every good wish for the success of this venture it would be awesome to see her returned. Stuart.
