Thank you "Ex"!! We had a two pronged session on Radio Berkshire this morning, Mel - Project Manager - was interviewed earlier on the events content, my role was the history - but as has happened before you get what you get with regard to time, and are grateful for every second granted!! Carefully prepared, but time was clipped somewhat prematurely as they were running late... The TV interview on Saturday was nearly 10 minutes as was Mel's. What happens tonight will be 'interesting'. But, at least we've got Blackbushe talked about on radio and TV with regard to positive aviation news, not used motors or Sunday Market stuff... the winter wasn't wasted! PB Any advance on 20 seconds??? Well, it wasn't 10 minutes, but a lot more than 20 seconds . . .

Evening Captain!
You're right. If you take Radio Berkshire's slots this morning, plus the TV bulletins during the day, and this evenings longer coverage we've been lucky in gaining some very valuable air time. Hopefully to convert into ticket sales as we've invested generously over the past months....
Thanks for tuning in!!

There have been a number of enquiries as to travelling to the Blackbushe Festival of Flight when arriving at local stations, or bus services that terminate some distance from the Airport.
To help with this important consideration we are working with VGT Taxis who will ensure you get to the airfield as quickly as possible. For details look on the Blackbushe75 website and under "The Festival" drop down to "Tickets, parking and how to find us" where you will find the link to connect directly with VGT Taxis for Fleet, Aldershot and Camberley. 8 and 16 seaters are also available in all areas.
While on the Blackbushe75 website always check on "The News" pages for updates on aircraft and other developments.
Thanks PB

A very interesting a/c in the neighbourhood yesterday was VH-SCW a Ryan SCW 145. I understand that it is based at Old Warden but obviously is quite airworthy. Be a nice one for the Air Day?

The latest on VGT taxis: I had a chat with the firm back in May (twice) and was informed that the cost from/to Blackwater/Fleet stations would be £10 each way. I had a look at the BB75 website yesterday - the taxi fares are shown as follows: Sat 1/7 from Fleet/Blackwater to BB £13/£14 and same for the return; Sun 2/7 £18/£21 and same for return (Sunday rates).
I spoke to VGT this morning: the fare situation had changed (?) since my enquiries in May. The VGT person intimated that a special fare may be set for volunteers but VGT has no further information on that issue.
I expect a number of us will be interested in regularising this. I guess trying to find people to share a taxi is the answer. I for one will be arriving at Fleet 09.00 on Sun 2/7 - perhaps we could set up a taxi share arrangement for Fleet, Blackwater and Camberley stations to BB and for the return.

I have compiled a list of what I think is going to be here based on the official site ,and others. For serious airshow goers the website is very poor when it comes to what aircraft are on display. It is standard practice to seperate flying and static aircraft but that has not been done so below is a bit of a guess on what is flying! I am lead to believe there will be more static vintage aircraft than the list reveals? Looks like the long grounded Heron (CofA exp 2007) could make it as it is now showing on CAA website as new CoFA currently being processed! Rob

Don't think PB has told the airshow web people about the Hurricane as they are denying it. We have inside knowledge on the wasp within the show team, so we are pretty hopeful!
