Perhaps a transfer service - not free necessarily - from a nearby railway station. Lack of public transport to the Bushe will make attendance difficult, and expensive, for those keen to attend without a vehicle.

<<The fly-in has been limited to 50 aircraft by Blackbushe tower who feel that would be their limit. Not the decision of the Air Day team, we can but abide by their wishes.. All movements are strictly PPR and Blackbushe tower will cut off any PPR bookings that exceed the magic number of 50. >>
I thought some ATC people were being brought in from outside? If they cannot accept more than 50 I assume that is due to parking space?

The Air Day briefing notes for pilots refers to runways 07R/25L:
<<Runways available for both arrivals and departures will be 07R/25L (LDA 25 1059m; LDA 07 1102m)). Please check the Blackbushe UK AIP entry for further details>>
The UK AIP makes no mention of these runways and as there maybe a number of visiting pilots I suggest that the briefing notes could give rise to confusion.

God help us......
On the other point. I'm sure I was told that "ATC" people were being provided but I doubt many know the difference!

Thank you for your most helpful comments. All will be passed to the Airport management and Tower staff for their comments/observations....
The limit of 50 fly-in visitors originated from the Airport's projected "flow control" last year, and was not a decision taken by the Air Day team. Your assumption that the limited numbers were due to space is entirely wrong. We have been granted use of the airfield for the day, 50 fly-in PPR's plus unspecified numbers of static display arrivals.
Obviously the Tower has it's say as to how the airfield functions, their dictates as to what we can do and briefings etc are of their own origin. I'm sure you're right that many do not know the difference between pukka ATC people and the other levels of air traffic 'assistance' that are available to the aviators of this world.
We appreciate all help possible from the One-Stop forum subscribers.

Thanks for that Rob. The Press Release is making its way round now, that's the first hit. The Star Courier have given a quarter page in the edition that's just dropped through my letter box. It's good to see one's efforts taking effect, except for the fact that I'm a totally careless chump.. The ticket purchase address slipped out as blackbusheairday.co.uk when as we know it should be .com. otherwise I'm very please with the write ups to date
Get Hampshire have agreed two minutes ago to edit the online error, while a correction should appear in next week's Star Courier. We await response from the BBC and others. At least their info is correct!!

Tell me about it!!!! No pay, no time, no glory, frustration, indigestion, but strangely - I love it!!!!
I cannot abide mistakes, especially when I make them!! I tested the incorrect address on two computers and they clicked across to the .com website. Thankfully. Is that to be expected or is that my computers have all got Blackbushe on their brains?? Could you confirm that please?
Tks PB
