Just a quick note regarding Rapide 'GSH. I know that years ago it was based at Bournemouth but I was under the impression that it is now at Old Warden. As for trade stands, how about Mark at Aerobilia. Always a good supporter of various shows and aviation fairs. He's based in Andover. Email is mark@roberts15863.fsnet.co.uk

Rob..Thanks for that, you're saying it clicked across automatically? Anyway, hopefully the correction will be out next week and we'll get extra coverage!! The annoying thing is that on my Press Release the essential contact ticket booking address was correct, it was during the text writing that I had a slight slip... and that was the one the press copied. I agree that one could deny making a mistake, but knowing how I can get jumped on here for making a slight typo honesty was the only way to go. Anyway, we got some very good coverage and I feel quite pleased with myself for that!!
You have a good weekend too Rob, I think mine is going to be a bit busy...:-)
Cheers PB

Simon. Thank you Sir! I'll include Aerobilia in my weekend's sales drive. Aerobilia in support of Aerobility.
Time has come to start chasing up those who have not replied, confirmed etc and funnily enough there are quite a few!!
Thanks again for the 'lead'!

Have you contacted the Gnat display team at North Weald as they just confirmed static at Farnborough for the public weekend,I was going to ask them this weekend coming as at North Weald but they are out at Cosford I believe, might be worth a try maybe.

Interesting suggestion...and one I had not considered so far. Be a nice representative of the military side of the the age.

The Air Day is appearing in various journals, the word is getting around.
Part of the word spreading operation is writing directly to relevant bodies. In pursuit of that I've written personal letters to the following today...
British Women Pilots' Association The Aeronca Club Vintage Aircraft Club The ARV Club The Auster Club DH Moth Club Pietenpol Club Biggles Biplane European Luscombe Group Luton Minor Club Jodel Owners Club Chipmunk Club
If you can think of any similar clubs/groups/organisations please add them to this thread. We don't want to leave any stones unturned!
Thank you in advance..

I would agree, I think this coming weekend would be good IF there was a flying element as its Goodwoof FoS, red arrows are at farnborough. However that is a big IF!

Talking of the Red Arrows I spent the afternoon in a meeting at another aerodrome...Farnborough!
The team i/c flying at Farnborough's Air Show confirmed that the decision regarding the Red's rather flat performance at Farnborough this year was 100% that of the Red Arrows following the necessary risk assessments in the light of what a certain Hunter achieved at Shoreham. Farnborough being in its famous 'bowl', the level of surrounding housing and the Shoreham accident resulted in their decision. The other high energy display items will go ahead, although it was pointed out that aerobatics will be performed further to the north than previously, the zone referred to as Area B. Area A which includes the canal and Fleet Road which will be subject to severe restrictions during flying displays AND during the rehearsal week...
Sorry guys, we had to go with the date chosen for Blackbushe this year, rest assured that any future flying events here will be structured within a time frame that 'fits'...IF there is an event next year we may well go on a head hunting expedition. If I'm spared another year I would like to think that we might do something special to mark the airfield's 75th.. After all, this year is just trying the water!
