Much appreciate your valued contributions Rocky14... Another day in the garden enjoying British weather at its best. Perfect temperature, the best aerial entertainment being in the form of cumulus clouds as thermals prompted their formation overhead...Fascinating watching them grow and evolve before as happened today, they run out energy and collapse. You know the feeling!
Sampling the new peace I stared at the heavens for a few minutes this evening, spotted the occasional man made 'moon' silently making its way across the heavens and entertained by a Saudia 747F en route from Liege to New York. Somehow a passing aircraft is definite confirmation that life does on beyond the false sense of security current 'back garden life' presents.
Just placed a new Forum header photo in situ. The shot almost encompasses the entire area destroyed by local bureaucrats and their associates, the area sadly lost and named Blackbushe "east". I note the collection of personnel at the base of the Control Tower. If only they could have known how sixty odd years later some would have been giving their right arm to share their views and perception of a fully intact and operational Blackbushe Airport.
Happy Easter!!

I have just been informed that a good friend of mine, since the sixties, has contracted the virus and is very ill. His wife has contracted it from him, she has COPD. C-19 has no favourites nor boundaries. My friend lives in York! I wish Rob's father the very best.

<Just watched the 'Lavender Hill Mob', again. RAF Northolt, nearer to Ealing Studios than Blackbushe, features therein with Dak G-AGYX on display.>
There was also a large sign for 'Continental' at the entrance. Today's POTD pic reminded me.

Good to see the PM is now convalescing at Chequers. He is more than grateful for the dedicated NHS treatment he received.
According to the BBC:
'Mr Johnson said two nurses - Jenny from New Zealand and Luis from Portugal - stood by his bedside for 48 hours at the most critical time and named several other hospital workers who cared for him this past week that he wanted to thank.'

I hope you are all surviving. My dad is in Royal berks slowly improving with Corona Virus, my mum has it (probably) and is ok at home. I probably have it now since yesterday after going to care for my mum on Tuesday/Wednesday. I have a cough, feel very tired, but no temprature. As Churchill would say 'Keep Bu%%ering on'!

Boredom's a problem these days, more so than the problem itself. Read 'Tin Tin' in Belgian French - even Latin (it's not the same in English), even James Joyce. Wish you and your family well, Rob. Plenty of time for another book perhaps?

I gather that measles is competing with C-19- Uk has lost its Measles free status - take even more care!
