With regards to this morning's POTD,you mention that you will visit a covenant written in 1567,there within lies much of the problem with not only Blackbushe but a lot of the UK in general,a lot of our laws etc,etc belong to a bygone age and a lot I'm sure are no longer fit for purpose for a modern country in the 21st century.

Good morning Peter, A bit down in the dumps but perked up when I saw the heading picture. Many thanks. Like many spent a few hours looking after it.

Good morning Peter, A bit down in the dumps but perked up when I saw the heading picture. Many thanks. Like many spent a few hours looking after it. Hi Eric, Glad we've pulled you up from the down in the dumps, to those of a certain breed images such as this can only be uplifting? The photo was taken at the eastern end of the main apron, long since ground up by the local council. Seeing Blackbushe as she was with one of her 'Eagles', the old infrastructure, and assorted distant aeroplanes is certainly uplifting but terribly saddening at the same time.. Keep the pecker up, As always, my very best wishes, Peter

G-ALIH was my favourite Blackbushe regular visitor. Such a shame some little s***s torched her.

Peter,in answer to your question, common sense should lead to the common. A much nicer one though.

I arrived at Reina Sofia Tenerife last Saturday, other commercial aircraft on the apron were an Aeroflot A320, a Ryanair 737 and my Easy Jet A320. EGLK has more movements!

Peter with all this chat about tri pacer dropping in reminds me of 1 9 58 when the RN pilot dropped in by parachute, leaving his Sea Hawk to make a hole in the tarmac on the south side. Remember it well from standing in the small visitor area by the terminal, long ago but still in aged memory bank !

A very lucky day for some of those on the ground, I guess a lucky one for the Sea Hawk pilot as he lived to see another day. Thanks for the reminder! PB
