Today's communications with the All Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation produced encouraging updates. Enquiring as to the Rt Hon Robert Jenrick's long awaited response to the APPG regarding General Aviation airfields and their protection in view of the National Planning Policy Framework I'm waiting for up to the minute confirmation as to whether the awaited epistle has arrived. Will advise accordingly, however, the Airfield Working Group do now have regular meetings with top planning officials at Rt Hon Gentleman's Ministry.
Nothing is certain at this time, but I am informed that it seems likely added protection to airfields will now be added to the NPPF. Again, I'll report updates here.
APPG feel that in the event of suitable NPPF airfield protection being forthcoming it should be helpful to Blackbushe if and when the next legal round takes place. The Supreme Court being that place.
Having not spoken to Grant Shapps for some time, he's quite busy nowadays, APPG will be passing my regards while also updating him on the recent Court of Appeal result.
