COURT OF APPEAL DATE CONFIRMED!!!
The process of Common Land Deregistration regarding just over 100 acres of active Blackbushe Airport has dragged on interminably. The Public Inquiry in April last year seeking to deregister 114 acres, the Planning Inspector's subsequent favourable decision overturned by Hampshire County Council's intervention leading to February's Judicial Review in the High Court. Until this matter is resolved satisfactorily the long awaited improvements to the Airport remain on hold.
Blackbushe Airport were granted Leave to Appeal following the High Court's ruling.. some good news. Happily a date has now been confirmed for the Court of Appeal and hopefully reaching the point looked forward to for the past sixty years.... Blackbushe Airport's case will now be held at The Royal Courts of Justice on 23-24 February, 2021. A decision is expected to be handed down a few weeks or months later. Further updates on this are not anticipated until April 2021.
WINTER NIGHT FLYING PROGRAMME
SUN 25 OCTOBER 2020 - SAT 27 MARCH 2021 For your information it'll soon be winter! Blackbushe Airport intend to operate winter night flying once the clocks change as in previous years - providing opening until 19:00 local each day for those who are undertaking night ratings, keeping current, or just returning that bit later.
Some good news in these days when news is not always 'good'....
