Sorry guys and a great shame, the pilot had said any time after 13.00 as mentioned here earlier. Left EGLF at 13.16, but proceeded south-east without hesitation. I guess he's on a flight plan that didn't account for a jolly around Blackbushe as he heads back to Austria?
Who said what to who after our conversation on Saturday we'll probably never know.........? Maybe I still get one point for trying? Sorry to Controller who we hope did not fry too much during his vigil...
Guys, I had you in mind from the moment I found the DC-6 was going to be in the zone; t'is better to have tried and lost?

I spent a pleasant hour or so in and around The Bushe Cafe (1245-1345), more in hope than expectation (I know how things are in aviation) so no issues at all from me with the "no show" - just grateful that you tried PB!

Don'y worry, Peter, I am very grateful for your efforts. I must check to see if I have seen the DC6 in an earlier life - it happens a lot at my age. I did not attend Farnborough but the star of the week for me was G-BPIV which flew almost overhead on its way home. Question is, what type is it? Generally referred to as a Blenheim but G-INFO says it is a Fairchild Bolingbroke....?

Here's a few working current backwards:-
c/n 45563 (1034)
OE-LDM Austria Civil
V5-NCF Namibia Civil
N996DM United States Civil
73101 Yugoslavia Air Force
7451 Yugoslavia Air Force
7511 Yugoslavia Air Force
YU-AFA Yugoslavia Civil
GMB110 Zambia Air Force
I found YU-AFB very elusive back in the early 60s.

Thank you Controller, the Blenheim or Bolingbroke question is a good one..Depends if it was built in Canada or the UK, with Canadian Blenheims being given the name Bolingbroke, they were license built Blenheim Mk IV's. The Duxford example, a Bolingbroke G-BPIV was restored using a Blenheim Mk I nose which had previously been converted to a car..or so Wiki states.. Looks like she's a cross bred specimen, a Bolingheim, or perhaps a Bleningbroke?
Always happy to help.. PB
