OK thanks for that. 43(F) used to have a hut off Morden Hall Road and sorry to hear they've moved. My late wife was in the WJAC group that used to meet there too. Great memories.

It's now a kids nursery, the flag pole is still there.

OK thanks for that. 43(F) used to have a hut off Morden Hall Road and sorry to hear they've moved. My late wife was in the WJAC group that used to meet there too. Great memories. In my day there was a civilian instructor, c20 years of age, at 43(F) who went to Blackbushe for some initial ATC training - can't remember his name!? Said guy took a few of us, in his car, on a spotting trip to East Anglia c1964/5ish. At the end of a long day we considered Debden but, it was getting late, so didn't make it. The manager at Woolworths Morden was an officer, not i/c, at the time, who did the met. training. The ground, outside the hut and on Central Road leading to the church of St Lawrence, took a proper pounding! I know, still, how to raise the Union Flag up the flagpole. Sometimes we had mixed events with the ladies, in particular, air experience flights. Great times.

Morning Peter/All,
Great set of photo's on this morning's POTD.
I know it's been said before but surely it can't be long before common sense prevails and this fabulous airfield is allowed to develop to realise it's full potential.

Quite a few SR22s drop into Blackbushe in the normal manner. The recent event, elsewhere, indicates a parachute is a great thing - well done Cirrus.

The IOW has been involved in many exciting ventures: smoke laying canisters 1944, PLUTO August 1944 (Shanklin Chine to Cherbourg), Britten Norman Bembridge, 1917/18 Saunders Avro 504 production (under licence) East Medina Aerodrome, Richard Noble ARV, HM.Gov C-19 app., many other things including Alum Bay!
I remember one or two of the aircraft in the header today - great stuff. Be good to see some pics of recent movements.

I agree Rocky14! "Slideman" has placed an excellent shot of Blackbushe's latest new resident on the movement section!!
