Following on from my enquiry about Clearprop, it now transpires that Blink will be banning all microlight activity at Blackbushe wef 1 July 2017. This I feel is a retrogressive step brought about by their opinion that microlights and bizjets don't mix. To my recollection, microlights have been using Blackbushe perfectly safely since the BCA takeover in 1984.
Why not re-instate the grass strip alongside 07/25 at the western end of the airfield and require all microlights to use that if they don't want them using the main runway?

As I have said elsewhere, there should be no problem mixing microlights and jets - that's what ATC is for.

I agree 100%. The operative word is "should".

I don't think Blink is banning microlights, I suspect Blackbushe Airport is though. Read the AAIB report for the Phenom crash and it's clear why.
