more shows this time from 1973. I had no idea there were so many shows in this period. I think this one was the first under Doug Arnold? again no idea how many of the RAF aircraft landed? XS779 Bassett RAF XK149 Hunter RAF XL427 Vulcan RAF XV252 Nimrod RAF XR368 Belfast RAF XW292 Jet Provest LF363 Hurrican BBMF PS853 Spirfire BBMF G-BAUP Spitfire SL721 G-AZKI T-6 ft239 F-BFQY PA18 G-AXXH,ANPE,AEDB,APUK,AZVF,ASKP,AWGW,AVPJ,AXIH,AYRT,APVT,AYGE,AWSV thats a impressive flying display, but the RAF was much more generous with its aircraft back the. I wonder what the CAA would make of that lot today!

rj, I was working at ground control at that air show and cannot remember why it was held. But I do remember marshalling an Argosy, with no ear defenders!, starting the Lanc once via the trolley acc so I guess Neil flew her in for the display and parked overnight. There was also a Vickers Gunbus and I think a Gladiator displayed. One was certainly in the hanger. The RAF parachute team displayed and I picked them all up in my mini van somehow. Can't remember much more. Happy days. (The 1967 display)

Last night I was gifted many copies of 'Blackbushe Movements' from number 1 in 1959 up to the last 60's when Blackbushe movements stopped being reported and it became BARG. This has allowed me to catalogue some of the early events of the 'new' Blackbushe

Well, hopefully the early bath, occasioned by the downpour on 6/5/62, will not be repeated in the near future.
