Our son had to visit a small industrial estate north of the A30 in Blackwater recently and was surprised to find a building containing a light a/c under constructionj/renovation? Someone working on the a/c said he had been working on it for many years and there was much more to do.
Does anyone know anything about this please?

I put this to local experts and got it is an auster and it has been moved from a mans garage to the vulcan way area because the owner had it in a garage and moved it for more room for work OK can I offer G-APUK which has been in a garage down the road from me for more years than I can remember.I expect PB or Flyboy will remember the owner if this is right, called Morley ? ?? More to come from local Sherlock type

Many thanks for that; I'm most grateful. Vulcan Way is some distance from the place my son visited so I'm investigating further..

Wrong place obviously wrong machine; oh well. Very vague thought for a local historian. Werent there a number of Harvards around this sort of area apparently dead ? Were all accounted for on records or could the aircraft covered here possibly be one ? Even perhaps a composite ?

I think it is the right aircraft as it has been reported to be on rebuild at the owners home sine the time when I was young, and good looking, well young!

I know a guy in Blackwater but south of the A30 who keeps a large number of aircraft parts in his garage for re-sale; could it be anything to do with him? He's also associated with the museum at Booker.

I am informed that the aircraft is a Spitfire. I know nothing more.
