It’s my sad duty to inform the group of the passing of Blackbushe Airport stalwart Baz (Barry Harris) on 6/10/23. If you are a regular visitor to the airport you would undoubtedly have seen Baz, even if you didn’t know him by name; as he was at the airport virtually every day in his silver Skoda Octavia, parked up near the tower. He was one of the original Blackbushe ‘old boys’ who remembered the airport in its ‘hay day’ and continued his interest through all the subsequent changes. I understand that he was taken ill at home and was rushed by ambulance to Frimley Park Hospital. We believe he was about 81 years of age. I also understand that he had no close relatives, so at this point and time I can provide no further information on funeral arrangements etc. If anyone on this group does have more information please do add to this note, by replying.

Sad news indeed. Looking for Baz's car was my first thought when arriving at BBS. In winter a great sanctuary in his Octavia chatting about absolutely everything. I will miss that. If anyone has his mobile number don't post it here but maybe someone has it that could give some details if so please advise here. Only a thought. I have just joined the proboard and make faily regular visits to the airfield. Hi everyone, this is Tony.
