It's none too often that General Aviation gets recognition in high places, but that is about to change. Still in its infancy, but already with 115 Parliamentary members the role of the APPG on GA is made clear on their website.. www.generalaviationappg.uk/Of particular interest will be the drive toward recognising, supporting , and advancing the well being of General Aviation airfields in the United Kingdom. The APPG's secretariat is in the process of being installed at the DfT, but on the basis of the early bird catching the worm I have sent what I think is a purposeful letter to the new APPG GA 'Champion', Byron Davies, specifically outlining the merits and benefits of Blackbushe in the country's diminishing offer of GA airfields. Blackbushe has had an early entry so far as the APPG on GA is concerned! I sincerely hope it is digested to the full. In the near future I will be forwarding the essence of my letter to all the Parliamentary members of the new Group and anyone else I feel should be drawn in...no contacts too high! PB
