rj..Yes the website will have much detail, but it's production is out of my hands. I sincerely hope it will be at large soon, should have been this week. REF Twitter... We need to get the word around, but I would ask for holding until the website is running as that will carry all our official news..If you wish the Twitter account sounds the trendy way of doing things, but please hold for a wee while. Thank you for the air shows forum...I will take a look soonest.
Malcolm..Do you have an opening/contact at 2 Excel?? I still need to have further discussions with Brize before the Hercules can be thought of too seriously.
Thanks to one and all who for positive steps being made. We've a way to go yet...

Rob ..Seen the airshows.forum link. Great work, but could you please remove the mention of 100 parking spaces. That is not the case, we have 'unlimited' parking space but will be putting a cap on the number of tickets old. The winter's negotiations have seen some changes re parking for the Air Day, the Terminal car park will be closed except for specific pass holders, staff, exhibitors and our gallant volunteers.

'What's Wrong' - I was considering a flying club getting involved - I am sure it has an engineer who can make non - lethal changes on one of the club aircraft - a lot of club participation and promotion under the umbrella of 'The Air Day' and its charitable cause.

Rocky14 .. Fully understand your suggestion!
Each competition has to have a worthwhile prize attached. Much time and effort has gone into securing prizes to date and remains ongoing. The prize needs to be confirmed before we dive deeper into competition land. 30 July is a normal flying school day at Blackbushe so far as our resident schools are concerned. July is a prime time in the business of logging flight hours. With some flying school equipment hopefully available for prospective new students to be shown around a fully operational aeroplane the chances of further machines being taken out of service would be unlikely. It's taken a while to reach where we are today...
I'll keep your suggestion in mind, and thank you for it. I like it, but wonder level of aeronautical dismemberment you might be looking for? One for flying school members to assess or the general public?

Thanks Peter I appreciate the dilemma.
Experience dictates that quite a number of well informed public will attend. The competition should be open to all - no harm in 'aving a go. Student pilots will appreciate that there is a difference between a check list and actual checking. Often the knowledgeable public do better!! Without giving too much away - swap the nav light covers.....and no cheating! I don't know where people get all the dosh to learn these days - I miss the rush...so much!

You guys - and everyone else who has offered to help - are great, you've no idea what a boost your offers provide!!
At the moment could I ask to hold for a couple of days. We have a full Air Day meeting on Wednesday and many issues will be discussed and hopefully progress reports will help guide what we have yet to do...
I'll PM the necessary contact details as soon as I have latest updates from the Air Day team.
Thanks again PB
