Hi Mick
Good to hear from you, even if you're going to Oshkosh..
Hmm, hope that I may we'll make a reasonable job of the Blackbushe Air Day I don't think our event will quite be on a competitive edge with what the EAA boys will do. Ever!!!
I wish you a great time, maybe we'll do something bigger at Blackbushe in 2017, the airfield reaches its 75th birthday!!!

Have to say PB that EAA is on my bucket list. I have family about 90 minutes away in Wisconsin. They have a neighbour that works at the museum and he has offered me a tour. With a pass from the Mrs, its a trip too good to turn down.
Lets hope with all the bad press regarding UK displays your event is a roaring success.
Regards Mick

For those of you following progress of this year's event at Blackbushe, please be assured that much work is going on behind the scenes. July 30th remains our day, but many hurdles have had to be cleared - but we are moving in the right direction.
A call for volunteers will be going out soon...Aircraft handlers/marshallers, gate management, security around certain aeroplanes, etc etc.. More detail will be provided in the near future.
Sadly display flying will not be happening as a result of events elsewhere and the CAA requiring vast sums of money...but, we hope to put on an interesting day and raise a good sum in support of Aerobility and their magnificent work in helping the injured and disabled aspire to great things in the sky.
More news anon, but volunteers .. your support will be called upon in due course.
Cheers

Tremendous news Peter and very pleased to hear that your tenacity is paying off. Also pleased to say that we will be back from Scotland in time to lend a hand if necessary on the big day.

Hello,
I'm happy to bring in a YAK 52 (Subject to weather) should you want to put this on the display line?
Just let me know and I'll come in a bit earlier etc.
Regards,
Justin.

That would be great, PB is the main man for this event. He is normally around on here in the mornings.

..and the evenings!! Justin, the static park awaits you!! I would ask that you're on the deck at Blackbushe by 10.00LT. Be grateful for a/c callsign, drivers name, and a contact. If you head for www.blackbusheairday.com you'll find the PPR form so contact details could go on there, just mention you're for static. Great news, and look forward to shaking your hand on 30/7. Weather permitting! Cheers Peter Oh yes, Just seen G-YAKX...

Peter.. I haven't seen any specific "ATC" instructions published, or are they on a site I haven't found? If 50 a/c turn up close together in the morning things could get exciting.

Thank you for that.
Detailed air traffic instructions were written earlier in the year before being submitted to Blackbushe's 'flight info' department for "approval"...
Do feel free to PM me with comments and critical observations.
