Hello everyone! My first post here; thanks for permitting me to join.
I am researching the filming locations used in the Battle of Britain movie (1969), and was told some of the scenes (perhaps opening scene with tanks and civilians) may have been done near RAF Blackbushe. Does anyone know anything further on this? Am trying to pin down some remaining sites but need assistance. Any perspectives on scenes in and around Blackbushe would be appreciated. (I know a lot was filmed in Spain). Thanks for your time and attention.

Hello Frank and "Welcome" to the Blackbushe Forum... Yes, indeed you are right!! Opening scenes of the Battle of Britain movie were shot at Blackbushe Airport, and I have a couple of photos of the two Hurricanes that spent some time here during teh making of those opening scenes. I will gladly send them across to you via email later today... The scenes were pretty brief come the final movie cut, they featured two Hurricanes flying over a long column of war refugees trudging a track through thick forest. The forest was just off the Airport's north west corner.
Wishing you luck with your venture, I'll be in touch later!!
Best wishes Peter
