It is with the greatest of sadness I have to report the passing of Rob Belcher's father Harry today, his battle with the Covid virus ending with the saddest of conclusions.
It was thanks to Rob's father bringing him to Blackbushe in 1977 for the Air Show that Rob's long association with the airfield and eventual book writing began. Rob's Dad was a keen supporter of Blackbushe and an enthusiastic volunteer at our past events.
On behalf of all our Forum members may I pass on our sincere condolences to Rob and wish him and his family the necessary strength during the coming days and weeks.
Our thoughts are with you Rob.
Peter

Morning Peter, very well put if I may say so,I've known Harry for quite some years but more so @ Popham's fly ins than @ Blackbushe, such a nice bloke and very enthusiastic about all aspects of aviation.
My thoughts also go out to Rob whom I'm very lucky to count as a very good friend.
R.I.P Harry,you will be missed.

Very sad news indeed. I only met Harry a couple of times but I would say Rob was lucky to have him as a dad.
Sincere condolences from me as well to Rob and your family.
Will be happy to join the proposed "fry up" at the Bushe Cafe in his honour when circumstances allow.

Brighter days await, the storm clouds of today will pass, but when they clear the cost will never be forgotten.
God bless you Rob, your Dad would be proud to see us gather in his honour, here's to those brighter days and treasured memories.
As ever "PB"
