..but I just want to celebrate the first occasion that my 19yr old was able to take his Dad and twin brother flying (and it had to be from Blackbushe, of course) using his newly acquired PPL, gained at Dundee with the help of the Air Cadets and a Gp Cpt John Cunningham Pilot Scholarship from the Geoffrey de Havilland Flying Foundation. Early morning, 20th September 2019, Blackbushe to Blackbushe via the Isle of Wight in PA28 G-BICW.
Although he's already passed the RAF aptitude tests with (ahem) 'flying colours', Chad's still not sure whether it's a military or civilian flying career that lies ahead, but in the meantime he's busy working the front desk at Blackbushe Aviation, flying from Lasham (and now Blackbushe, of course), occasional volunteering for Aerobility, fulfilling various Air Cadet duties and so on, so he's definitely heading for an aviation career one way or the other.
