The procedures are well on track leading to the April Inquiry regarding the application to de-register a small area of the expansive Yateley Common to support the benefits and viability of Blackbushe Airport into the future. Please use this link to access the Blackbushe Airport website from where these details are found. www.blackbusheairport.co.uk/common-land-deregistrationThere has been a misunderstanding in some quarters as to the size of Common subject to the Airport's Application. Studying the content of the above link will help put the intentions into perspective.. PB

Blackbushe Airport - The De-registration Inquiry update...
Friday 5th April, 2019.
Today brought the four day Inquiry to an end. Blackbushe evidence was submitted on Tuesday and Wednesday, the opponents yesterday while today all parties presented their closing submissions.
All we can say right now is that the Inspector's conclusion will follow in the fullness of time. How he will find, and when is not for us to judge, just wonder and wait.
Blackbushe put up superb representation, very detailed, thorough, honest, and from the heart! Submissions from parties opposed to our Application came from two Yateley Councillors representing themselves, one resident Commoner, the Open Spaces Society, and Hampshire County Council.
All parties made considered submissions and it's not my job to cast opinion on their presentations. Today was devoted to closing submissions from all parties. Blackbushe's QC gave the final closing statement, a long and extraordinarily complex response to the oppositions closing remarks. It appeared that he totally answered the oppositions claims as to why the Application should fail, an admirable demonstration of the best in action.. The opponents representatives were two local Councillors representing themselves, just one Commoner, the Open Spaces Society, and Hampshire County Council, the latter three being represented by their QC's. Blackbushe fielded a well versed witness team including aviation professionals, and the one and only Blackbushe author Rob Belcher, plus your scribe..
The waiting game now starts, it is anticipated that at least three months will pass, but all we can do is wait regardless of how long it takes for the answer to be forthcoming.
At the conclusion I felt extremely proud of the Blackbushe team and the lengths to which the new Airport owners have gone toward securing an exciting new Blackbushe. For now, its business as usual, and hopefully a night's sleep..
Sincere thanks to the Blackbushe supporters who found their way to the Public Gallery!
That's it...
