UK Airfield update from General Aviation Awareness Council

Blackbushe is one of the few airfields that does NOT have a closure movement hanging over it.. If Hampshire County Council do not get a move on with their responsibilty of transferring the Common Land de-registration application to the Government's Planning Inspectorate soon I would not blame the Blackbushe Investor group from gettinmg nervy about the situation... The link below gives you the June update on our threatened airfields, I note that Wycombe Air Park is in line for an industrial development involving the loss of a runway. It all makes grim reading, but with the increased awareness in government of the value of GA to this country it can but be hoped this threat to our airfields will be reduced? The APPG on GA now has 156 parliamentary members and is the largest of the various All party Parliamentary Groups... The education of politicians on the value of GA to this country is key, let's hope they learn well and fast!
