Thanks Eddie, as recent as 1970..only 45 years ago... Time is scary, twice the time has elapsed since this photo was taken compared to the time between WW2 ending and the photo being taken..No point in saying that I guess, having been born just after WW2 ended it seemed a long time to 1970. Now double that has passed..
Thanks for the info!!

Great new header, nose of viscount & first letter of script " T " cut off on my laptop. Like the picture though, gives the mood of Blackbushe with the misty background. The baggage trucks of the era add to the effect a good job.

Aviologist... maybe you need to change to resolution? On some laptops/PCs pressing Ctrl and the scroll wheel on the mouse changes the resolution. HTH.

Somebody on 'the other side' has said there's a one page article about Blackbushe in this weeks 'Farnborough News'. The Viscount piccy is perfect on my 11 inch screen.

If you read my Press notices on here the News & Mail page was mentioned here first. Well, as soon as the paper came out last week.. It's well put together, and good to read an article in that paper that gives a pro Blackbushe feel. Unlike the sixties...
Glad your 11" screen is happy with the Viscount. There will be a routine rotation of Blackbushe scenes appearing on our Banner up top...

If you're fiddling with CTRL+ or CTRL- to alter display size worth remembering CTRL 0(zero)resets your display to the default setting
I have to hit CTRL+ twice to get the Viscount to the full width of the blue top toolbar on my Dell laptop (screen width 1440 pixels)

Typo in your Viscount feature...you put Tynes instead of Darts....they all had Darts except the Tay-Viscount, which solved the problem of best place to put 2 jet engines on an airliner long before the 737.... now did the Tay-Viscount ever visit Blackbushe?
Dart shriek used on the Beatles 'Back in the USSR' track I recall

Oh well spotted!! I guess starting at 0500 one might make the odd technical deviation...I'll change the Viscounts' power plant right now!! Tay Viscount at Blackbushe?? better throw that question to the wider audience ...
Thanks again..

Dart shriek used on the Beatles 'Back in the USSR' track I recall The Tay Viscount was VX217, nothing about it visiting in my list but that list is not very complete for that period. The Prototype dart Viscount did visit several times for customs on trips abroad so the tay version may well have done if it went to the Paris airshow? Rob
