Interesting Peter, looks like the new management are being very open about things? Were there really only 10 letters of support for de-commonising? I find that appalling, considering we were two of those 10. Surely a good deal of the local pilots would have written in support? Very strange. Hope to get to the next meeting.

Fully agree with you Rob...Despite pleas on the forum for our members to take up the opportunity the response was not perhaps as hoped.
Details of the next meeting will be advised here, it would be great if you could join me there Rob, it was a bit lonesome being the only pro Blackbushe person in the 'public gallery'...
For the record, Hampshire County Council are still stalling in the process of submitting the Deregistration Application to the Government's Planning Inspectorate. Another blot on the County Council's appalling record of indecision and dithering regarding Blackbushe. Every day they delay hinders the Airport's prospects of becoming a viable operation, threatens those who work there, and stifles the aspirations of operators who would dearly love to see Blackbushe be given the chance to stand on her two feet.. It's taken nearly 60 years so far!!
It can only get better...??

rj I too sent in a letter of support at the time so that makes three of us! I wonder if others were rejected because they didn't follow the laid down required format? Stuart.

I received docs via email whilst away a few days ago. Have only skim read so far, but seems a pity that so few notes of support were received. Notes on the FB ("Then and Now" Group) suggest that awareness was an issue, despite PB's best efforts.

There was a time limitation on submissions; the message was very clear; HCC submission instructions were very clear. Has anybody been able to determine how many submissions in support HCC has received?
The docs make interesting reading!!

We understand that exactly 10 (ten) took the time to write in support of the Airport. Pretty dismal show, but grateful thanks to our few who took the time... As exeglkflyer points out, there were issues as indicated on the Facebook Group's pages...Does not explain the lethargy, nonetheless. We move on to the next stage of the proceedings with the Planning Inspectorate just as soon as Hampshire County Council get their fingers out and transfer the documentation. The County, once again, holding back the Airport's chances.
