 G-ARVU by spider5522, on Flickr Blackbushe resident c69/70 owned by a Mr J.C.Jenner on 23/10/69 my old mate Mike Shea who worked in the tower (Stuart correct me if I have not spelt the name right ps we have met several times at the bushe and when you worked at Fairoaks) got me a flight on RVU with Mike as co pilot think he was learning tried to get into Gatwick no go so went to Biggin Hill my first flight in a light aircraft what an experience!
when we landed back this was on the apron a brilliant day (see next pic)

I believe it was Mike Sheahy? If it's the same person he was there when I was there in the mid-60s. What happened to him?

Ikarusc42/ controller Near enough Bren it was Sheehy, lived in Eversley. I think he eventually ran his own business and is reported to have owned a Cessna 310. Great photos especially DA's BN2s awaiting delivery. Brings back memories! Stuart. |
