Well done Peter, I have to say that the members of AFA who helped out on the day all enjoyed themselves and as always, it was good to put some new faces to familiar names, whether "real" or "noms-de-plume". A venture such as yesterday's superb event is always going to be a little bit unsure with regard to catering, shuttle transport and the like but I have to say I didn't overhear a negative comment all day. I really believe you now have the solid foundations for a regular event, whether it's on an annual basis or whatever and rest assured that you can always count on AFA members to help out wherever we can.

Well done Peter and all the helpers. By all accounts the remarks I have read suggest a resounding success. Thanks also to all those posting photos of the static and visiting aircraft, I was unable to attend due health problems and am very pleased to see those photos. I was able to listen in to the tower on my air-band radio and I thought their calm, professional service, while under pressure at times, was to be applauded - I can only say well done to them and everyone who contributed to a successful day. Stuart.

I totally second Stuart's remarks as to the boys in the tower, and their contribution to the Air Day's successful operation. They have already had my personal thanks and appreciation but these guys were truly central to what went on on 30/7. The Air Day team are indeed grateful for all that they did keeping the Day's wheels oiled and turning smoothly...
