For anybody feeling flush flights will be available in Dragon Rapide G-AHAG for £99. I'll stick to raffle tickets!

Hello "Ex" sorry can't spill the beans, I just gave a heads up to a possibility awaiting confirmation, hence "maybe", but yeah it's one of those three! HOW can you miss July 30th?? Shame, I'm sure we could have found a nice volunteer job with your name on it..
rj..your raffle tickets will be reserved!!

£99 for a ride in a Rapide? Nice work if you can get it. My wife and I flew in the NZ Catalina - we were on board for about an hour and it was the equivalent of £30 each!!

£99 seems the standard price, same as the Duxford ones. Good earner if you can fill all 7 seats.

Hi PB, as per previous correspondence, I was very willing to volunteer, but then "home command" went and booked a holiday which means we are going to be away on the required day :-(
I am genuinely gutted I am going to miss it.

Im sure the guys with the Rapide know their thing and the pricing has over the years been looked into, they obviously get lots of business at £99 a head otherwise they would have either reduced the price or gone out of business.

Thanks "EX" I fully understand the pressures that "Home Command" can exert.. IF we do another event in the future depends on how well this year goes, the CAA, our volunteers, and a positive mental attitude from all!
Jeff, truly appreciate your comments regarding the Rapide. Flying an aeroplane of that vintage on a commercial footing in this day and age deserves support as I hope the Air Day does from all our members. It may only be a minor event in the world of air events but the trials and tribulations I - and the team - have endured to get this far hopefully warrant positive support from our members.. Dare I suggest investment in a book of raffle tickets, a number of winners will get airborne for a very small outlay!
I would welcome all to come and look at the Rapide - you don't have to fly in her - meet our lovely Captain, Shona, and feel free to discuss the commercial implications of operating a vintage twin engined biplane on a fare paying passenger category... Nobody has mentioned that we are only charging a fiver to get in, well, except for one person who complained it was too cheap. You just cannot win... my only hope is that the sacrifice of the many hours and the financial investment made by me and the Team result in a sunny day, some nice aeroplanes to look at, and the Rapide does a good day's business to help our bottom line..Financial support for Aerobility who do so much for those who are disabled, terminally ill and our injured service personnel. Hopefully we will get no complaints about that.........
PB
PS Hope you don't mind guys, but I'll move posts not relevant to "Static Park Confirmations" to the Air Day discussions area when I've got some spare time later. Just house keeping!
