Love travelling through Bournemouth. Same drive as Gatwick without the miles of walking. Last time we checked in for our TUI flight just as the flight before us, a Ryanair, was departing, and had the airport to ourselves.Yes there is almost no shopping etc but it is so easy. Southampton is the same, wish we had more choice at both those airports.

A big fistful of dollars is being invested in Blackpool Airport. The taxes and employment generated will provide a big lift to the decaying seaside town once famous for its guest houses, trams and tower.

I've flown into Swansea many times. The Gower Peninsular is a beautiful place. I sincerely hope that this unfortunate circumstance will not take too long to remedy.

Not exactly a 'Regional Airport' but I feel that EGLK has led the way somewhat. Note the EGLK VFM by comparison, well done BBS:

A last ditch attempt on the Beach Nevil?. No! But, this is an interesting little video about a bus stop that stimulates ideas, maybe not intentionally, how some of the futuristic aircraft featured so often on the POTD, could be used to service places such as Barra. Finance should not be the party pooper, more is wasted on...I leave you to think about that.

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP).



Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan owns the largest number of shares and has been an investor in our airport since 2001. They are Canada's largest single-profession pension plan with over C$200 billion in net assets and represent around 333,000 working and retired teachers.



OTPP have their headquarters in Toronto with a number of regional offices, including in the UK. It has holdings in five freehold airports in Europe: Copenhagen Airports, Brussels Airport, Bristol Airport, Birmingham Airport and London City Airport.



In addition to OTPP, Australia’s New South Wales Treasury Corporation ("TCorp"), the Australian Retirement Trust (“ART”) and StepStone own a minority interest in the airport.
