I was ground crew around 1965-67 and wondered if anyone knows whether the Lincolnshire Lancaster Just Jane was the one that Neil Williams flew in an air show around that time. I helped start it with the trolley acc. Thanks. David

Hi David
Indeed, it was "Just Jane", G-ASXX. It's possible that she MIGHT fly again too, subject to her passing the current very thorough 'medical'....

Thank you. Just found a photo in your collection of said Lanc on the tarmac with me and the trolley acc under the starboard wing with all engines turning. 1966/7? Thank you for bringing back great memories. David

The WS51s in the background of that photo (3/4 down page 15 PotD) provides an approximation of when the photo was taken; in 1965 they were parked adjacent to the A30. Your 1966/7 estimate doesn't seem far off mustang. There are a lot of us on this forum of a similar age and it appears!

Thought I'd posted this, but I'll have another bash. The Mustang on the right was flown, I think by Charles Masefield, in the film "The Mercenaries" that was released in July 1968. So we are near to the 66/67 date rocky. It was a two seater as I remember and not in wonderful nick.

Does anyone have a log of USAF C47s (or other Dakota variants) that flew into Blackbushe between 1964 and 69?
