"The Airlines of Blackbushe Airport"Many years have passed by since the airlines and their wonderful aircraft that made Blackbushe such a fascinating airport were last seen here. One summer evening in 2013 the idea occurred that a plaque on the Terminal Building would be a very apt way of keeping their names and logos on view, once again they could be seen at the Airport they called home... The plaque idea grew into a full scale commemorative sign thanks to the wonderful offer and generosity of Prestige Signs. No mere plaque, this was going to be rich with photographs, a plan of the airport, and some informative words. ..it also greets those arriving by air! In October, 2013, we were honoured by the company of Founder and Chairman of Eagle Airways, Harold Bamberg, who performed the official unveiling of our sign, the messenger that daily tells visitors of the Airport's past. It's revelations are a surprise to many! "News & Mail" 24th October, 2013. Gone, but not forgotten..... My eternal thanks go to Mike Biddulph of Prestige Signs, Harold Bamberg, and to all the airlines and their staff who made Blackbushe a very special airport.PB
