Cetirizine Hydrochloride tablets might help 'the cough'. My Nurse practicioner put me on to them - brand name is 'Piriton' but if you buy them at a larger supermarket you can buy their own brand for about half the price and I've found my cough much reduced since using them daily. Visited the new shop yesterday and bought a calendar.

Those are one of the two main 'anti hayfever formulas' (anti histamines) - brands such as Piriton are mega expensive compared with the various supermarket brands (I think we are giving Lidls just over a quid for packets of 14 tablets as we stock up for Summer - I take them for 8 months of the year)

Following Peter's many requests, I was please to receive an email from Blackbushe Airport thanking me for supporting their application. I must have been one of many. Roll on 15 June.

Try searching Youtube if you can't sleep, it's amazing what can be found. Some of the amatuer productions are surprisingly good. Get well soon.

RE A&Es. I live roughly midway between St Peter's hospital at Chertsey and Frimley Park. At St Peter's they have introduced a 'double' A&E to cope with the workload where they can filter off the attendees classed as 'minor' to a unit separate from the main A&E in order to reduce congestion so that the people who arrive with only things like a cut finger (unlike Peter) don't clog up the system; they still have to be triaged and wait in a queue however it only operates up to (I think) 9pm daily so the drunks etc who arrive after this time still have to be treated in the main A&E.

Ironically, having suggested you search Youtube, that night I watched a film on Youtube starring Burt Reynolds called "Rough Cut" and blow me down, several of the scenes were filmed at Blackbushe!

Saturday night was not the best time to plough up one's face! With bloodied knee, a very swollen and bruised hand, and a face like something out a horror film (even more than usual..) My injuries appeared way in advance of the other A&E candidates, blood still oozing and after the initial triage rigged up with a temporary outfit that was more akin to the Invisible Man and his bandaged appearance. It took six hours from arrival to departure and although short staffed as Doctors were no doubt enjoying Saturday night 'on strike' those who were there were doing a fine job. Stitches are never much fun, across the bridge of the nose even less fun.. Did anticipate an influx of patients with drink and drug overdoses but happily spared such sights. Now comes the long period of recovery and hope that he bruises go at some point. Blood thinning aspirin that keeps the heart's chance of clogging-up always add to the drama where bleeding is involved..two valued carpets are blood stained as the red stuff freely flowed. Have a nice day!

Ahh yes, "Rough Cut" part filmed at Blackbushe during my days as the operations department. Burt Reynolds being one of a number of famous actors involved in sequences shot at Blackbushe way back then. "Rough Cut" showing last night was indeed well timed!!
