Hello PB..am I correct in inferring, based on the above posts, that only five out of the ten submissions were from this Forum's members? Presumably the other five derived from other fora or guests.

Regardless of who did, or did not support Blackbushe when the chance arose, it cannot be said that the One-Stop Forum failed to provide the ammunition, the encouragement, and the awareness of how we all could play a valuable role in enhancing the Airport's prosects for the future - a future one assumes we all wish to see for her? For the record... blackbusheairport.proboards.com/board/118/consultation-period-opportunity-support-blackbusheLet us hope that the coming months provide a positive outcome to the long drawn out Blackbushe saga, one that we may all enjoy. I was one of the ten! And was also shocked to read it was such a small number, especially bearing in mind there were 103 objections.
Did the airport management try and get all home based pilots to write in? Anyone know if local flying schools in the south east were also approached?

Thank you 'Flyingdodo' for being one of the ten, an elite club! There has been a complete change in Airport management since the critical period prior to the De-registration hearing by Hampshire County Council. A very comprehensive statement was put together by the Airport's legal body outlining in detail the ramifications of the appeal to remove Common Land rules over 114 acres of the airfield. I was pleased to respond to a request for detail of current structures, barriers, fencing etc my sworn statement being included in the evidence.
I am unable to comment as to the level of communication conducted with the Airport's tennants being peripheral to such information... However, the new Airport Manager placed a reply on Facebook's group, "Blackbushe Airport, Then and Now" regarding this question, and I have taken the opportunity of repeating it here for your information.
"Unfortunately the previous Airport Manager neglected to “rally the troops” and so most of the users of the airport were completely unaware of the application. We have over 400 people known to the airport as users, who could have been asked to write letters of support which would have massively outweighed any objections.
What is also astonishing is that this response was sent to HCC on 1st Feb, and only now is it being passed on to those who responded to the consultation. It further demonstrates the disregard that HCC have for a local business and community asset, given the application was originally submitted October 2016 and yet still no referral to the Planning Inspectorate".
There is little doubt that a rich resource of potential support existed within the aviation industry, however, there remains much to be done in furthering the Airport's plans with the Planning Inspectorate, backed up by very positive support coming from the relatively new All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on General Aviation.
The new Airport manangement are taking huge strides in reshaping Blackbushe's image in the GA world, but so much depends on the outcome of the Planning Inspectorate's decision - once Hampshire County Council follow the necessary procedures in handing the case to them.... Blackbushe Airport will be exhibiting at AeroExpo this year, at last the Airport is marketing its services. The Blackbushe Airport website carries overall impressions of the 'new' Blackbushe.
Thanks again for your valuable support, let's hope our efforts prove fruitful in due course?
PB
