I'm not sure if this is already on here somewhere but, this is the A30 side of the corner, I think. I presume it is looking eastwards. The caption writer seems to have misread Britavia as Staravia. I worked at Staravia in 1972. They had some long huts near Ascot, where aircraft parts records were kept and updated, all by hand with cards, no computers.
Dating the photo depends on when Hermes entered service with Britavia and, when the Morris Minor Mk 1 with 4 doors was introduced. 1952 I believe for that. (it looks like it has 4 doors)
The A30 also seems narrower than now.

Morning, I have pondered over that photo, would love to know where it came from. The Britavia Hermes started arriving in May 54, 18 months after the Airwork ones. In the photo they are still in their basic BOAC scheme so I would say this is the late summer of 1954.

Found on the Fleet Facebook page. Obviously from a book or magazine but, which one?
