Noticed G-ATEF listed there in 1973 and still on the airfield today! Not today but 11/9/16 (my most recent Blackbushe visit).
If anyone has a photo of G-ATEF from 1973 (thereabouts - or before) I would be interested.

Go to derbosoft.proboards.com/thread/3731 At the foot of the page is a photo, taken 1975, of G-ATEF. In 1965/6 the registered keeper was Airwork Services Limited, a major player at Blackbushe in the 'early years'.

Thanks for your replies rocky14, probably 'TEF was in the brown scheme when I first saw it in 1973, although the abpic 1966 B&W photo is different. Part of a project researching paint schemes from the late 60's-early 70's for flight sim use. Wish I'd had a digital camera with 30x zoom back then rather than my Kodak Instamatic!

I remember that day too well, I turned into work and opened the warbird hanger as Don wanted some items to take with him. After he arrived and inspecting the UC handing over the spairs he req went back loaded what I would need for the airshow, Locked up and stayed till he took off, The rest is history

First post on the forum, i wasn`t sure who to contact, i would like to use a couple of the photos from your photo of the day thread on our clubs facebook page. I am the registrar for the Fairthorpe Sports Car Club, Don Bennett produced the cars as kits between 1955 and the early 70`s. Would it be ok to post a couple that show Don`s Fairthorpe on the airfield, full credit to this web site will be given..........Martin

The name Fairthorpe runs through the veins of some of us who knew and worked with AVM Bennett long ago, especially having been driven around by him in one of his delightful sports cars. Please be our guest and use the photos as you wish, any credit toward the Forum and mention of Blackbushe as the Airport Bennett purchased and saved would be welcome. Very best wishes, Peter

Not sure which thread this belongs to, but here's Vagabond on its nose at Amsterdam in 1960, repaired quite rapidly and shortly afterwards fitted with the 99 inch cargo door
