Then a bit of a gap until 5/5/54 when Capt McCash took D.Williams for 45min of instrument flying. on 7/5 Mc Cash took T waller on a SBA training flight of an hour. Thes locals continued with McCash, Burke, Waller, Harding, and Watson taking to the skies in IKR. on 26/27 there was another trip out with gapt Harding and R/O 'Helsey'(?) departing for Staverton at 07:45 on flight FJ637 then ten departed to Eastleigh at 08:45, before getting to Deauville at 11:10. The following day the departed Deauville at 09:40 to Eastleigh, then Back to Deauville, and back to Eastleigh. From Eastleigh they continued to Staverton before return to Deauville via eastleigh! Then finally returned home from Deauville at 20:30 after over 9 hours flying! Rob

One upon a time there was a Airspeed Consul, he spend much of his time going round, and round the Blackbushe circuit, but longed for far away skies... Ok were back, 23/7/54 Capy Harding and Mc Caw did some instrument work for over and hour there was a similar trip next day with Harding and Watson. On 28/7/54 Capt Watt and FO Rose escaped to Amsterdam on flight FJ645 at 08:40, they returned at 18:30 after a 2h35 flight, 40min more than the outbound, must have been a good headwind? On 31/7 Rose and Watson did a couple of SBA training flights of 1h15 and 1h30 with 4 approaches each flight. Until of August 20th there were twelve local flights involving instrument rating renewals, SBA training. Tese involved Williams, Watson, Whitehill, Rose and Stenner. On 20/8 Harding and Woodrow visited Dinard departing at 10:45 and arriving back at 17:00. There were locals on 25-26/8 then a Blackbushe-Deauvill-Elmdon-Blackbushe trip of 4h30 on FJ667 with capt Burke and FO Burke. The following weeks saw several foriegn trip but they will be saved for next time.

Cheers Rob... Deauville seems to be a popular destination for IKR, something to do with horsed perhaps? I wonder if Capt. and F.O. Burke were related.

Ok, just for Rocky. 2/9/54 Capt Sorby and Mc Can took IKR to Gatwick at 14:30 on flight FJ670, then to familiar Deauville at 15:29, after a night stop they returned via Gatwick ,arriving back at 11:30. After a short break they were off to Dinard at 13:15, a flight time of 1h40. After a hour on the ground they returned home at 17:28. The next outing was 6/9/54 When Harding and Sorby departed to Dinard at 08:30 on flight FJ673 with 7 passengers. At 11:23 they departed for Ringway but diverted to Eastleigh at 12:25 due weather. After a hour the continued to Ringway and returned to Blackbushe at 19:25 that evening after 5h10 airborne. On the 11/9 harding and Phillips operated FJ674 to Deauville at 10:30, returning at 14:45. There was a 15min local flight later that day, reason not stated. A change of desternation on 16/9 caw capt Woolfe fly Blackbushe-gatwick,Schipol-Gatwick-Blackbushe, the return Schipol-Gatwick taking 40 min longer than the inbound leg?? Rob
