With all this talk about lovely 4 engined British aircraft got me thinking about one of my all time favourites - the AW Argosy and was wondering whether Blackbushe was ever fortunate enough to have one visit?
My memories only stretch as far back as the DA days and especially Farnborough week when there were always a number of lovely visitors. My Dad and I would be regulars during that week spotting the many foreign visitors with Partenavia Victors and Rockwell Commanders especially well remembered.

Ahh Andy, the whistling wheelbarrow!! Andy, your aeroplane is in the POTD schedule of heavy metal performers. Stay tuned!
The DA era Farnborough Weeks were good fun..gave Roger and I much amusement acting as the shepherds who rounded up the many visitors and got them lined up for the odd photo opportunity. I doubt we'll see the like again (not for Farnborough Week at least...), but we can still look back on a runway filled with parked aeroplanes on both sides. Fun days...
